Regarding whether to buy "real" or "artificial" trees, just make sure in either case you're not exposing your family to harm. Real trees can be covered in pesticides or herbicides, so buy from an organic tree farm. Artificial trees can have lead in them from the paint to the wire branches themselves. And be careful with the light strands. The plastic covering the wires contains lead. So far I'm not aware of any lights at all that are lead free. Any product imported from another country may contain lead, so buy american if you buy an artificial tree.
We are so proud of you - you make things happen! We miss you in Tampa, but life agrees with you in New Jersey - keep conquering and we look forward to reading about you everywhere!
